33. War
If we keep trying, one of these days we might just get
a war that’s every bit as satisfying as its atrocities.
Putting a sword in the hands of a rambunctious kid may
have the merit of helping us understand saber-rattling
among nations but would inspire the envy and ire of any
military junta that’s failed to coerce more than a handful
of juveniles into its army in the past week.
