25.   Gaining Stature



Be wary of short men who don’t speak when spoken to.

They may be lost in thoughts of schemes by which they

mean to gain stature.



It isn’t surprising that businesses which grow into multi-

national corporations without benefit of ethics or morals

will often promote an employee having a similar, lusty grasp

of things.  Even companies that foster camaraderie and a

feeling of family have fired wives, husbands, and cousins in

a manner that’s altogether foreign to family life.  While

integrity behaves itself well enough in the home, it’s often

seen gleefully kicking up its heels when it puts on a

business suit.
